I hadn’t read or heard of the books that The Silo is based on, the story is good and interesting. The series takes place 140 years after the apocalypse. 10,000 people who are now left to live in silos, and these people have never been outside the silos. They don’t even know what stars are. But they know that going outside the silos is deadly. Some people choose to go outside to learn more, but they always die. Those who stay in the silos can witness through the window every time someone wants to leave, and see how and when they die. Rebecca Ferguson plays the lead role as Juliette Nichols, who tries to figure out what’s outside the silos and why they can’t leave without dying. The acting is good, as is the character development. However, the pacing can be a bit slow, as there are a few filler episodes. They could definitely have shortened the series by at least two episodes, but I don’t care because the series as a whole is so good. I’m looking forward to season 2 with more suspense, mystery, and answers about what’s going on outside the silos!
