Spinning this way doesn’t push or pull air

Story

Men and women live in a giant underground silo with various regulations they believe are in place to protect them from the toxic, ruined world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book “Wool” — the book has 82 chapters. The fans on the floor in several episodes spin in the wrong direction, relative to the orientation of the blades.

My first review!

Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows You Need to Watch in 2023 (2023). I read Hughes’ trilogy years ago and really enjoyed the books. When I randomly scrolled through IMDB and came across SILO, I was immediately intrigued. I can see some mixed reviews and I can relate to some of them, so here’s my take on the first season.

First off, I love dystopian literature!

The dystopian genre offers a unique psychological perspective on human nature in hypothetical scenarios. My fondness for the trilogy was solidified because Hughes managed to develop Orwellian ideas within a hypothesis relevant to the modern world. Imagining the development of the human psyche in dystopian scenarios is a challenging task. I think Hughes did a wonderful job, SILO captures most of these aspects in a refreshing way.

The acting is phenomenal for the most central characters

It is not an adaptation in the sense that it follows the plot. It is based on the books, but naturally it has to adjust to the viewers in a fast-paced world. However, the series manages to capture the atmosphere of a society living in a silo. In contrast to the superficial storytelling of other shows, SILO has a wonderful mix of character development and atmospheric focus.

Naturally, it has to appeal to a receptive audience

The only problem I have with the show is the lack of atmospheric development. They spend too much screen time on the pursuit and capture of Juliette. They lack the atmospheric development of the silo as a society. Try it!
